A three hour tour (a three hour tour)

Because my calves are still tight and my feet still hurt with the plantar fasciitis, I could not do my long run (or marathon) today. Instead, Superman and I slathered on the sunscreen and headed out in the 85 degree sunshine for a 3 hour bike ride through the valley.
the only sunscreen I've found
that doesn't make me feel encased in plastic

I chased Superman for 33+ miles.

Kicked.
My.
Ass.

I fueled properly, even brought an almond butter and jelly sandwich for the halfway mark. I just ran out of juice.

I think my biggest issue was water. I went through almost 2 liters. After Superman gave me the rest of his, about 8 miles from home, I felt better.
This is halfway up the hill out of the valley. I walked this one, and one other. My whole body felt all noodely.

All in all a good workout.

Sometimes I'm amazed at how much cycling can take out of a person. The next one will be better.

PF--as someone who has been there/done that--go barefoot as much as possible. It really does clear it up.
