Back in the saddle...?

I looked at my training schedule yesterday, for the first time in 2 weeks. It was the first time I felt well enough to consider training, as opposed to just getting out there and moving (which I haven't done a lot of, either). I'm not yet sure how I will get myself back on track, but I'm sure I'll figure that out as I go. The first step is to get out there and go. Today I'm going to just dive right into what I originally scheduled, and see what happens. If I'm super lucky I can just slip into training and go from here.

I have a new incentive to help. Superman proved once again that he's a keeper, as he gave me this for my birthday Sunday:
I'm still trying to figure out how it works.
I've already been to the Nike site and created an avatar to help motivate me and track my runs. Because I need somewhere else to track my runs. I might stop using Daily Mile, if this works out well. I already deleted my training journal here on the blog. It was just too much work to update everything.

I might not stop using Daily Mile, though. It was very difficult to find the software necessary to automatically update my run stats. I went to the site the directions say, but kept getting redirected to a marketing site. I don't want to buy more Nike gear, know how Nike sizes women's clothing, and I don't need another social site on the Nike forums. I just want to known how to upload my data!

It turns out the download is not on the website the instructions directed me to. I ended up on a support page that took me to the product support page, which finally had the download. Things like this irritate me to no end. If the Nike experience is going to be one of never-ending marketing, I won't use their site to track things. I don't care if I have to manually enter my stats. I'm a brat that way. I'm not brand specific, and I don't want companies in my face every time I turn around.

I still haven't figured out how to upload data. This doesn't bode well for the Nike site. The GPS, I like. The site, not so much.

You can sync your nike+ thingie through the website to sync with Dailymile. That sounds confusing huh? It took me awhile but I figured it out and then figured out how to sync it to FB so everyone could see what I was doing whether they liked it or not! LOL
